Several British milk producers are closing down

Great Britain is characterized by relatively large farms when it comes to milk production with approx. 2 million kg. milk on average. However, this does not mean that the structural development towards fewer but even larger farms is slower in Great Britain. Within the past year (as of 1 April), 4.8 per cent of the producers thus stopped production, which is the largest number in recent times, writes the Dairy Industry Newsletter. The total production was nevertheless 0.4 per cent. higher than the month of April in 2022.
